I think that this is a good place to start on researching Mr. Calleros.  Also, I think that we could get Cesar Caballero email and he may have more information.  Mr. Caballero is a librarian who was very active in
establlishing a Chicano Studies Department at UTEP and was very active in Mecha, the Mexican American Student activist organization in the 1970s and 1980s.

Welcome!
Hey all - This is our first semester using our new blog for helping students research. I'm  Helen Bell, another reference librarian who helps Borderlands students with research.

Ms. Vise will be requiring you to contact one of us for help in your research, and you can contact us via email, or at the reference desk from 9-1 Monday through Friday. We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Our emails are:

Rachel murphree@elp.rr.com
Helen helencarmenbell@gmail.com

We'll be using the Be a Borderlands Detective guide to walk you through the steps to find information on your topic, so you can have a look at that before we start.  Also, be sure to check the Potential Topics page where we've put research already found on various topics that Ms. Vise has assigned.
